Do you like music festivals? Promiseland Festival will be more than just a music festival, so mark your calendars, gather your friends, and put on your best attire. It’s an accepting environment that will quickly grow into a movement that utterly transcends cultural barriers.

Promiseland is Australia’s first music festival fusing Afrobeats, Reggae, and R&B rhythms. It will take place in Doug Jennings Park from October 1 to 2. Jordan Rivers, MC Jeff & Rob, and others will serve as the festival’s hosts.

Promiseland Festival – Day 1

Burna Boy and Sons of Zion will be the featured performers on Day 1.

Nigerian singer and rapper Burna Boy is one of the most well-known and popular African artists. After releasing “Like to Party,” the main song from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.(2013), he gained popularity in 2012.

He received numerous awards in 2019, including Best International Act at the BET Awards and Album of the Year at the All Africa Music Awards. He became the first Nigerian to receive back-to-back nominations at the Grammys in 2020 when his album Twice as Tall received a nomination in the same category at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Sons of Zion have deservedly earned their place among the best musicians from New Zealand. They have gathered an incredible 40+ million listens on Spotify, more than 15 million views on Youtube, and 100,000+ followers on social media from their modest Kiwi origins to playing concerts around the world and topping charts. Sons of Zion’s track record has made them one of the most adored and well-respected bands in the southern hemisphere.

Promiseland Festival – Day 2

For Day Two, the headliners are Tion Wayne, Wyclef Jean, BLXST and UB40 Ft. Ali Campbell.

The cult icon of North London is Tion Wayne, who is an ascent to the UK rap monarchy. The Edmonton superstar made a hit in 2014 with his debut mixtape, Wayne’s World, in which he quickly discussed his experiences with trapping, the streets, and legal run-ins.

Another must-watch is Wyclef Jean. Along with Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel, a rapper from Haiti who initially rose to fame as a member of the Fugees, a hip-hop group from New Jersey. As a soloist, Jean would continue to enjoy a prosperous career. He created an additional eight studio albums, including The Ecleftic: 2 Sides II a Book (2000), an RIAA Platinum-certified album that peaked at number ten on the Billboard 200 chart.

When his rapper uncle urged Blxst to learn a new word from the dictionary daily while immersing himself in music, Blxst gained a strong appreciation for language. He knew how to create and record himself by the time he was in high school and went on to work behind the scenes with artists like Kendrick Lamar, YG, Eric Bellinger, Mustard, and G Perico, to name a few. He sold out his whole autumn 2021 No Love Lost Tour in under ten seconds.

The contemporary band led by founding members Ali Campbell and Astro is now preparing their next move, inspired by the timeless reggae ethos that propelled UB40’s first iteration to international success. Ali and Astro continue to nurture and expand on a heritage that extends back over four decades to the group’s embryonic days as the most genuine manifestation of the Birmingham band’s original goals. The upcoming year will witness the release of a new studio album and a significant tour.
