Lovers of The Blues Brothers aren’t to miss an exciting tribute show coming to the RSL Club in Southport this November. Blues Brothers Rebooted pays homage to the comedic soul duo like no other, donning the iconic Blues Brothers look and performing all the famous songs from the hit 1980 film The Blues Brothers.
Fronted by comedy actors Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, The Blues Brothers formed in 1978 as part of a musical sketch on American TV show Saturday Night Live. Finding instant popularity The Blues Brothers took their career beyond TV, releasing their debut album Briefcase Full of Blues that same year which went straight to number one on the Billboard 200. Soon after their iconic 1980 Hollywood comedy film The Blues Brothers was released, which received critical acclaim and is now known as a cult classic all over the world.
The Blues Brothers’ many popular songs include “Soul Man”, “Everybody Need Somebody to Love”, “Think”, “Theme from Rawhide”, “Gimme Some Lovin’”, “Who’s Making Love”, “She Caught the Katy”, “Peter Gunn Theme” and more. In spite of just their origin as a musical sketch, The Blues Brothers have become one of blues music’s most recognisable names, with Dan Aykroyd still performing as part of The Blues Brothers to this day with a rotation of guests singers and members.
In Blues Brothers Rebooted, sensational Sydney performers Shane Peters and Christian Clackson take to the stage as the iconic duo, offering an authentic experience that will treat you to the very best of The Blues Brothers in one evening.
