If you haven’t heard the news, Warner Bros. Movie World's Carnivale is moving to Sea World this 2017 which means it's time to take a break and visit Sea World this January.
The Sea World Carnivale is a festival of sounds, colour, and mouth-watering flavours. It will be held on January 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21. To help you on your journey, below is a quick guide to the festival's 2017 edition.
Live Music Series
The Main Stage will be featuring different performances every night. On the first weekend, get ready to party with The Aston Shuffle, a house music duo from Canberra composed of Vance Musgrove and Mikah Freeman and The Griswolds, a four-piece indie rock band from Sydney.
The second weekend of the Carnivale features contestants from the 2015 season of Australia's X Factor – pop duo Jess Dunbar and Matt Price as well as boy band In Stereo. On the last weekend of the festival, don't miss performances by Hey Geronimo who just released their debut LP Crashing Into The Sun last July and Mashd N Kutcher, Australia’s #1 DJ Duo.
Street Performances
Besides the live music series, the Carnivale has over 70 roaming artists in the Plaza. Keep your eyes peeled for wonderful performances by aerialists, dancers, fire twirlers musicians and many more.
Mask Decorating & Face Painting
Complete your carnivale experience by joining activities in the Plaza. There will be mask decorating where you can unleash your creativity and design your own fabulous face mask. If you prefer face painting, there will be stalls that offers various styles from intricate to sparkling and elaborate designs.
Pop-up Food Stalls
Apart from entertainment and activities, the Plaza also showcases a number of pop-up food stalls. Get your taste buds ready for a fusion of flavours by Baja Beach Rolls, Fijian Fruit Bowl, The Louisiano Grill, The Goa Curry Pot, The Island Kitchen and The Java Noodle Hut. Dreamworld's regular food outlets such as Village Bean Coffee House, Domino's Pizza, Dockside Tavern and the Ice Cream Parlour will also be open.
